A boldly exaggerated statement that adds emphasis without in-tending to be literally true, as in the statement "He ate everything in the house." Hyperbole (also called overstatement) may be used for serious, comic, or ironic effect.
A head or tail-with does he lack?
I think his forward's coming back!
He lives on carrots, leeks and hay;
He starts to yawn-it takes all day
Some time i think I'll live that way.
The point of the poem is to make people laugh. Because the head is its butt. The line that is funny is the second line, because it says that his forward is coming back.The hyperbole is the whole poem but how could the butt be on its head and how could they only live on carrots...That is an exaggeration "hyperbole."
